Welcome to Spelchan.com

With the closing of Blazing Games, I need some place to put all my new One Game a Month entries so am taking advantage of this domain which I have held for years but done nothing with.

January 31, 2015 - Snowman's Fez 2 - This is closer to what I was originally aiming for with Snowman Fez. While melee combat is possible, throwing part of yourself is by far the better approach and will result in significantly less damage. You can throw even in melee range.

December 31, 2014 - Snowman's Fez - As I am taking open university courses, my Ludum Dare was cut into just a single day due to exams on the 6th. When that got interrupted, I was unable to add combat to the game and figured a single screen exploration game wasn't enough the entry was aborted. I had planned on adding the rather unique combat system over my Christmas break, but the Steam sale got me involved in playing my unclaimed Steam Trading Card games. I may release the sequel (with the combat system) next year. The goal of the game is to find the Snowman's fez.The map is blacked out and only revealed as you explore.

November 2, 2014 - Z Escape - Created between 2AM and 2AM on November 2nd this Zero Hour Game Jam game is very rough but use of existing assets and a very clear plan allowed me to create this game in a very short period of time. The game simply involes typing keys to avoid the zombie.

October 18 to 26 - Aliens Smashed My Pyramid -> For the October Insanity Jam, I created a variation of the Towers of Hanoi. Alein the Alien has restructured an Egyptian pyramid. It is your job to put it back together again. Unlike Alein, you can only put smaller blocks on top of bigger blocks.

September 25, 2014 - Dining Philosophers -> a deadlock demonstration turned into a racing game!

Yes, I know the pages are overly simple at the moment, but I am very busy so don't really have the time so it will be a while before I have a nice, fancy site here.

If you are interested in the coding/technical aspects of my games, you may want to look at http://homebrewgamejam.blogspot.ca/ which is updated whenever I get time to write.
